Hello fellow Lions!
Our upcoming 2026 North Carolina Lions State Convention is only four months
away. The theme is “Welcome to the Change” and we are thrilled to have you join us
for what promises to be an unforgettable experience, with lots of fun and
changes. The highlight of our 102nd State Convention will be that the event is
dedicated to Past International Director Lion Lacy Presnell, someone that we all love
and admire.
The changes in our convention will be obvious from the moment you pull up to the
hotel! It is our goal to keep you guessing and surprise you with every aspect of the
weekend. Whether you’re coming to learn, network, or simply have a great time,
there’s something for everyone. There are lots of new faces and very few things will
be “the way we have always done it”. Two events that will be similar will be our live
auction on Saturday morning and the Town Hall meeting.
Just to give you some ideas… our service projects were suggested by our Lions:
Canned Food Drive to support Greensboro Urban Ministry
Book drive to support UNC’s childhood cancer unit and Lions Love to Read
Please support these great causes by bringing canned food items and children’s books.
Details will be coming out soon.
The theme for Friday Night is Fun, Fabulous and Funky! Please join us for a night you
won’t forget. Wear something that fits the theme, share your thoughts and let your
energy light up the night. Together, we will create memories, form lasting connections,
and pave the way for a future that’s as full of change as we imagine it to be. Just so
you know, you will be able to have five meals for only $68 thanks to the hard work of
last year’s convention team. Also, there is no service charge for using your credit card.
Registration forms will be out soon, and ad forms are already available. Yes, the
incredibly talented Lion Tony Angel will be helping to design the convention program
again this year. We are so very thankful for his skills.
We are looking forward to seeing you April 17-19 2026………Let’s make this North
Carolina Lions State Convention the best one yet!
