The Childhood Cancer Committee is seeking additional members to join our team. The committee is currently chaired by Becky Burt (Cary Lions Club), alongside committee members David Fish (North Raleigh Lions Club) and Riley Proctor (Warrenton Lions Club).
Our committee works directly with children’s hospital staff to identify and support the needs of childhood cancer patients and their families. Currently, we provide 12 tote bags every three months filled with essential care items (such as thermometers, hand sanitizer, pill caddies, and water bottles). During the holidays, we also organize and deliver Christmas games and toys for the children.
We are looking for additional members to help select items for ordering, assist with occasional deliveries, and collaborate on new ideas. The time commitment is light—primarily occasional Zoom meetings and minor research.
